Social Event — AUVSI’s Midway Magic

Climb aboard a real U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier for an entertaining evening on the historic USS Midway. Explore the ins and outs of the ship or simply enjoy amazing views of the San Diego Bay with live music, delicious food and cocktails on the flight deck.
USS Midway embarked on an unprecedented 47-year mission, blazing new trails as the Navy's first carrier homeported abroad and setting new standards in naval aviation. More than 225,000 Americans served on the ship, which was decommissioned in 1992 and is now a floating museum docked at San Diego's Navy Pier. The entire ship has been reserved for this private event. On board you will see an unparalleled collection of historical memorabilia, aircraft on the flight deck and remarkable exhibits depicting famous naval battles. You can even experience activities of carrier life through state-of-the-art virtual reality technology, including flight simulators. The USS Midway features dozens of exhibits that bring the magic of naval aviation to life!
Tickets for AUVSI's Midway Magic are included in the registration fee for full conference attendees, students and exhibitor personnel. Others interested in attending the event may purchase tickets onsite ($85).
AUVSI Foundation’s Annual Awards Luncheon
Thursday, June 12 • 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.The AUVSI Foundation’s Annual Awards Luncheon will recognize the recipients of the following awards: Al Aube Outstanding Contributor Award, Pioneer Award, Operations Award and Member of the Year Award.
In addition, attendees will enjoy reports and highlights of AUVSI’s student robotic competitions.
Tickets for the AUVSI Foundation’s Annual Awards Luncheon are included in the registration fee for full conference attendees and exhibitor personnel. Others interested in attending the luncheon may purchase tickets onsite ($65).
